About The Position
The Psychology Intern is a learning position in which the Intern conducts intake evaluations, individual, group and family therapy and counseling under the supervision of a licensed Psychologist.
Requirements
- Master?s degree and doctoral level training in clinical or school psychology
- 2 - 3 years of part-time predoctoral clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned area.
Responsibilities
- Conducts intake evaluations
- Provides individual, group and family therapy
- Provides parental counseling
- Provides supervision of psychology externs
- Attends didactic classes/seminars for trainees
- Conducts psychologist testing
- Writes psychological reports
- Provides case management services
- Prepares clinical notes and correspondent
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date clinical charts
- Participates in team meetings
