Psychology Instructor (Online and In-Person)

About The Position

This position will teach in-person and online classes for the Psychology, Behavioral Health & Human Services, and/or Pre-Social Work Transfer Pathway programs. In addition, the position will provide leadership for the Behavioral Health & Human Services and Pre-Social Work Transfer Pathway programs including program assessment, program advisory meetings, and program review. Faculty positions at ATCC are governed by the contract between the Minnesota State Board of Trustees and the Minnesota State College Faculty which states, “Classroom teaching and other contacts with students form the core of the faculty work assignment. Additionally, professional development and service to the college are the other core components of a faculty member’s work assignment. A faculty member will plan to engage in such activities as…course evaluation, classroom preparation, the evaluation of student performance, committee assignments, classroom research and community service as part of the overall work assignment.”

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with a major in psychology or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in psychology.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching in a higher education setting.
  • Master’s degree in Social Work or 18 graduate semester credits in Social Work.
  • LICSW.
  • Experience working in a behavioral health, human service, or social work setting.
  • Experience teaching online.
  • Experience with and a commitment to using open educational resources (OER).
