About The Position

Provide psychological and behavioral supports to individuals with special needs including training and instruction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in the field of Psychology.
• At least 1 year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Valid NYS Driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological/behavioral services to individuals in programs, maintaining compliance with department and agency policy/procedure, state, local and federal regulations.
• Record and maintain individual's behavioral records in compliance with all department and agency policies/procedures as well as all state, local and federal regulations.
• Provide behavioral training to agency personnel to include, orientation, in home and work site, and provide documentation of the trainings.
• Provide crisis prevention and emergency crisis support.
• Collect & analyze data, observe individuals to provide feedback to Behavior Intervention Specialist for support plan.
• Attend psychiatric appointments with individuals.
• Attend site staff meetings.
