Sierra College is accepting applications for part-time faculty teaching positions across all subject areas. Applications are kept in a hiring pool for two years, and candidates will be contacted directly for interviews when positions become available.   • Curriculum Development: Review and evaluate curriculum to meet student needs and budget constraints; coordinate with part-time instructors; ensure course transferability within CSU and UC systems; present curricular proposals.
  • Lecture/Laboratory Preparation: Review and select textbooks; prepare lectures and laboratory materials; coordinate with book publishers; prepare lesson plans and instructional materials.
  • Student Performance Evaluation: Develop quizzes and exams; monitor student activity during assessments; assign and evaluate homework; advise students on academic performance.
  • Shared Governance Participation: Attend departmental meetings; respond to requests for information; participate in curriculum development and committee representation.
  • Ancillary Student Services: Hold regular office hours; provide academic advice; participate in graduation ceremonies.
  • Master's in psychology or Bachelor's in psychology and Master's in counseling, sociology, statistics, neuroscience, or social work.
  • Experience supporting diverse student populations and understanding of equity-minded strategies.
  • Experience in community college teaching.
  • Familiarity with culturally responsive teaching methods.
