The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (DCAPBS) at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) are seeking a psychologist with expertise treating children, adolescents and young adults. The role of the Psychologist within DCAPBS is to provide psychological services to patients and families, including clinical assessment, diagnostic interviews, and evidence-based therapies for specific conditions. The position will be within the Division of Outpatient Behavioral Health working as part of programs focused on treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, or trauma and stressor related disorders Other responsibilities include participating in and leading training activities within the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (DCAPBS) and the Hospital and participating in Department and Hospital committees and initiatives. They may contribute actively to program development and QI activities, serve as an educator, role model and mentor, and participate in local, regional and national professional activities. They may engage in clinical research and Quality Improvement as appropriate for their role. The role will contribute to patient care in our main outpatient setting in Philadelphia and may provide care at specialty care centers in surrounding counties. Faculty appointment at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania on the Academic Clinician Track is strongly encouraged. This role will be a split of 50% clinical and 50% research based. We are seeking a psychologist to support research efforts in pediatric mental health. This role involves designing, leading, and analyzing clinical trials and studies focused on areas such as mood disorders, suicide prevention, and related topics. Key responsibilities include protocol development, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote health equity and improve outcomes for children and their families.
