Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree from an American Psychological Association (APA) or Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) accredited program or certified equivalent in counseling or clinical psychology and 1 year of related experience, which may include a doctoral internship.
  • Applicants must obtain their full psychologist license in Iowa within 18 months of the start date.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy within a brief treatment model.
  • Conduct intake assessments and make recommendations for appropriate services.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and manage urgent student needs.
  • Provide presentations and outreach programming on mental health topics for students, staff, and faculty.
  • Provide supervision to trainees as able based on licensure requirements.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions and services.
  • Take part in crisis coverage as part of a rotating staff schedule.
