Psychologist Behavioral Health Services Salary Pay Range: $100,089.60 - $150,134.40 Closing Date: 4/13/2026 or upon receipt of the first 50 applications Job Summary: The Psychologist will provide psychological services for children, adolescents, and young adults. They will conduct psychological assessments in areas such as cognitive functioning, emotional well-being, personality, and neuropsychological functioning. The Psychologist will offer indivdual, group, and/or family psychotherapy. In this role, the Psychologist will develop treatment recommendations, collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team, and provide clinical supervision for trainees.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possession of a valid United States Driver’s License, and able to obtain a Wisconsin Driver’s License within six (6) months after the start date.
  • Possession of a Psychology PhD or Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.).
  • Completion of a one (1) year predoctoral clinical psychology internship (APA preferred).
  • Licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Wisconsin no later than the anticipated start date.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in the provision of psychological services (experience with DBT preferred).
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Willing and able to travel within the community up to 10% of the time in this role.
  • NOTE: This original application is open to permanent residents of the United States. Appointee must establish residency in the state of Wisconsin within six months of start date and maintain such residency during incumbency. In accordance with Section 11, Rule 3 of the Civil Service Rules a non-competitive examination will be held for this position. The non-competitive examination will consist of criteria deemed appropriate by the Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological tests and produce reports.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations for conditions such as learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, psychotic and mood disorders, and trauma-related issues. Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological tests and produce reports.
  • Offer individual, group, or family psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities (e.g., Dialectical Behavior Therapy).
  • Provide clinical supervision to trainees (e.g., Psychology Postdoctoral Fellows and Psychology Practicum Students) in the provision of psychotherapy, direct psychological assessments, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Offer consultation in clinical settings and within Behavioral Health Services/Department of Health and Human Services committees and initiatives. Provide leadership with respect to team functioning, decision-making, cohesiveness, and quality care.
  • Understand and comply with professional and ethical standards and guidelines in the field of Psychology and mental health care. Conduct behavior in accordance with the law and resolve conflicts between various requirements to the best of one's ability.
  • Possess and remain current in knowledge of evidence-based treatments in mental health care and practice accordingly. Conduct oneself in a person-centered, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed manner. Demonstrate and practice cultural humility.
  • Understand and comply with State, Federal, and other regulatory guidelines, laws, and requirements in the delivery of mental health care and performance of program functions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
