About The Position

The Psychologist Resident/Post-Doc position at Northwest ADHD Treatment Center is a full-time role designed for clinicians focused on adult or child and adolescent treatment. Requirements

  • Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Completion of an APPIC or APA-accredited internship prior to start date.
  • Dissertation must be complete to apply; ABD applications considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Ability to assess and treat ADHD and other mood disorders.
  • Effective interdisciplinary team member with strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and documentation compliance with guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in treating adults or children and adolescents.
  • Experience assessing and treating ADHD, mood, and anxiety disorders in an outpatient setting.
  • Experience in the administration of continuous performance tests and Weschler measures.
  • Strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients for ADHD and other mood disorders.
  • Administer the TOVA (Test of Variables of Attention) test and the Test of Memory Malingering (TOMM) weekly.
  • Lead a therapy group of their design weekly.
  • See an average of 18-20 patients per week in an outpatient setting.
  • Participate in weekly interdisciplinary group consultation and individual supervision with a licensed psychologist.
  • Engage in research opportunities as available.
