About The Position

Care Counseling, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Licensed Psychologist - Per Diem to join our team. As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care Team, you’ll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone. As a Licensed Psychologist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. We offer a variety of solutions that meet the unique needs of our workforce and the patients they serve. From clinical operations such as credentialing to business operations such as contracting, we provide organizational support that allows our providers to focus on what matters - providing care. Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology, PhD or PsyD
  • Active, unrestricted Licensed Psychologist (LP) in Minnesota
  • 2+ years of experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals, families and/or groups
  • Dedicated home office space and ability to leverage existing reliable high-speed internet (Cable Broadband, DSL, or Fiber)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience completing diagnostic assessments, general psychiatric testing, and providing direct therapy in an outpatient clinical setting
  • Experience evaluating adults and/or children in an outpatient clinical setting
  • Experience working with a wide range of clinical presentations
  • Experience providing neuropsychological, CBT, and other evidence-based interventions
  • Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation including MS Office programs and Athena RMS or other Electronic Health Records

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual, family or group therapy sessions based on ethical and medical necessity guidelines
  • Develop and coordinate a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment, or referral of patients presenting mental health conditions
  • Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results
  • Involve patient and/or family in treatment planning as appropriate
  • Lead crisis intervention methods and provide insight into the development of functional assessments and behavioral intervention plans
  • Complete clinical documentation according to policy
  • Participate in our patient growth strategy by providing a profile for online directories and other marketing efforts
