About The Position

NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health is seeking a Bilingual-Bicultural Psychologist to address unmet clinical service needs in our Program. This position is part of the Behavioral Health Adult Clinic located in Manhattan. The psychologist will be involved in providing clinical services, maintaining proper records, supervising psychology staff or students, providing consultation and training, participating in research activities, and performing clinical and psychological evaluations and tests as required.

Requirements

• Valid license and current registration to practice as a Psychologist issued by the NYSED
• Two (2) years of post-licensure experience, one (1) year of which must have been post-licensure supervisory experience; or three (3) years of post-licensure experience
• Completion of the NYC Health + Hospitals Supervisory training within three (3) months of appointment

Responsibilities

• Provision of Clinical services
• Maintain Proper Records and files
• Supervision of Psychology staff or students, as appropriate
• Provide Consultation and Training, as appropriate
• Participate in Research activities, as appropriate
• Perform Clinical and Psychological Evaluations and tests, as required
• Participates in the various outpatient and inpatient treatment programs as a member of the professional therapeutic team
• Reports and interprets results of contacts with patients
• Participates in family-systems oriented training and service programs
• Maintains suitable records and files of therapy progress and test performances
• Gathers, arranges, summarizes and quantitatively treats collected data
• Administers, scores, and prepares evaluation and psychological tests reports
• Participates in psychological and general staff conferences.
