The San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychologist Internship Program Supervisor to lead the Psychologist Internship Program. This role is pivotal in planning, developing, and implementing the internship program, which is designed to provide essential training and supervision to doctoral-level psychology interns. The supervisor will be responsible for a combination of administrative and clinical supervision, ensuring that interns receive the guidance and support necessary to thrive in their roles. This includes the selection and placement of interns, as well as fostering and maintaining strong relationships with local universities and various programs within the Department of Behavioral Health. In addition to overseeing the internship program, the supervisor may also provide program support to the Marriage and Family Therapy and Social Work Intern Programs. The position requires occasional travel throughout San Bernardino County to provide on-site supervision to interns placed in various clinics and programs, as well as to attend outreach events aimed at promoting mental health services in the community. The Department of Behavioral Health is committed to delivering high-quality mental health and substance use disorder services to residents, with a focus on treating children and youth, adults with serious mental illnesses, and individuals facing substance use challenges. The Department operates with core values of service, integrity, accountability, and trust, and is comprised of six service areas, including Outpatient Clinics, Substance Use Disorder Services, and Emergency Services.
