About The Position

The Institute for Sexual and Gender Health at the University of Minnesota is seeking a Psychologist at the Assistant Professor Rank who is an experienced clinician in one or more of the following areas: sexual dysfunctions and disorders, transgender/gender diverse services across the lifespan, and compulsive sexual behavior to join our growing team. This position is for a clinical faculty member, with initial workload allocations of 65% clinical practice, 15% teaching, and 20% scholarship and administration. The role involves providing individual, group, couple, and family psychotherapy for sexual and/or gender concerns from a trauma informed, culturally responsive, and intersectional framework. The successful candidate will develop a program of scholarly activity that contributes to the advancement of human sexuality, sexual health, and/or trans/gender diverse health, and will disseminate scholarly work through national presentations and peer-reviewed publications. Collaboration with other researchers, didactic and clinical teaching to fellows, students, medical residents, and trainees, and participation in faculty development activities are also key components of this role. The position contributes to a welcoming work environment and is committed to anti-racism/anti-oppression in the workplace.
