About The Position

The Psychological Intern position at Rutgers University-Camden offers supervised training in individual counseling/psychotherapy, comprehensive training and supervision in the assessment of Learning Disabilities and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, mental health crisis intervention, and consultation, outreach and prevention activities. This role is designed for individuals with a doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical psychology seeking postdoctoral supervised clinical experience. Interns will receive four hours of supervision weekly, with at least two hours being individual supervision. Responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, managing a therapy client caseload, presenting at case conferences, performing crisis intervention, conducting educational programs, collaborating with campus offices, conducting psychological assessments, and participating in interdisciplinary staff meetings. Additionally, interns will engage in quality assurance and quality improvement activities, receiving clinical supervision from licensed psychologists in New Jersey, with a focus on therapy service delivery.
