Requirements

  • Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor degree in education or mental health field.
  • Prefer a minimum of one year of psychiatric hospital inpatient group experience.
  • Possess the ability to exercise good clinical judgment in assessing patient's mental status and ongoing inpatient programming needs.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills (written and verbal) and the ability to plan, communicate and execute work efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completing group documentation requirements timely
  • Conducts group sessions as scheduled
  • Coordinates group programming with MHT staff to ensure completion
  • Demonstrates flexible scheduling to meet patient needs
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication skills. Accurately communicates patient information to key individuals associated in the care of the patient (i.e. Physician, Charge Nurse, Psychiatrist, Inpatient Psychiatry Charge Nurse).
