About The Position

We are seeking a Psychiatry Residency Program Director to lead our ACGME residency program in Salem, VA. The position involves a 50% administrative and 50% clinical workload.

Requirements

• Board certified by the ABPN or AOBNP.
• Minimum of three years post-residency participation as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program.
• Prior APD or PD experience is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong team building skills.
• Recent scholarly activity such as peer-reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or educational organizations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as an Associate Program Director (APD) or Program Director (PD).

Responsibilities

• Lead the ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program.
• Oversee the training and education of psychiatry residents.
• Engage in administrative duties related to the residency program.
