About The Position
A Psychiatry Physician General Psychiatrist practice is seeking a qualified physician for Champaign, IL. This position offers an opportunity to join a dynamic department that consists of a diverse team of professionals, including 3 Adult Child Psychiatrists, 8 Adult Psychiatrists, 11 Ph.D. Psychologists, 18 Therapists, 14 Social Workers, two Nurse Practitioners, and two Psychometricians. The practice primarily focuses on outpatient care, providing a supportive environment for both patients and staff. The role includes responsibilities for adult and child psychiatry, with a call schedule that is manageable and designed to promote work-life balance. Adult Psychiatry call is 1:5 on weekdays and 1:4 on weekends, while Child Psychiatry call is 1:4. This position also offers the potential for academic and/or research affiliation with the University of Illinois College of Medicine, allowing for professional growth and collaboration in a prestigious academic setting. The new Psychiatry residency program is set to begin in July 2017, providing additional opportunities for involvement in training the next generation of psychiatrists.
