The Department of Supportive Care Medicine at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking a trained psychiatrist to meet the needs of our growing program on our main medical campus in Southern, CA. Our interdisciplinary team - composed of specialist physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, chaplains, and others - works with patients to meaningfully improve their medical, psychosocial, and behavioral health needs during and after cancer treatment. Position Highlights: Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with our team of world class, nationally recognized team of medical, psychiatric, surgical, and radiation cancer specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clinical psychiatrist reporting to the Division Chief of Psychiatry. Designated inpatient consultation and outpatient scheduling Position will be a combination of inpatient consultation service and outpatient clinic service Generous 60 minute for new patient appointments and 30-45 minute follow up appointment blocks Flexible schedule: 8am-5pm 90%25 of patient panel are cancer patients. Experience with oncology patients preferred but not required Physician will practice at the main flagship medical campus Division currently includes 3 FTE psychiatrists Exciting growth and opportunity for tele-psychiatry services Clinical social work team on staff Multi-disciplinary collaboration Opportunities for teaching and other academic activities No ER coverage and no psychiatric holds
