Adams Clinical is seeking a Psychiatrist to serve as Principal Investigator (PI) at its New York research sites. The PI acts as the senior medical and scientific leader of the site, bearing responsibility for participant safety, protocol fidelity, and ensuring studies are conducted with accuracy, integrity, and adherence to regulatory standards. This role involves performing or overseeing key study assessments, reviewing safety data, confirming eligibility, managing adverse events (AEs) and serious adverse events (SAEs), and collaborating closely with clinical operations and other clinician staff. The position requires an engaged and collaborative physician who is present onsite, responsive to operational needs, and dedicated to upholding Adams Clinical’s standards of scientific rigor and participant-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric/neurological evaluations, physical exams, and safety assessments
  • Confirm eligibility and support randomization decisions
  • Review labs, ECGs, and safety data; provide appropriate medical management
  • Perform study rating scales after completing required certifications
  • Ensure high-quality documentation aligned with ICH-GCP and FDA expectations
  • Serve as primary clinical contact for sponsors and CROs
  • Collaborate with operations to support trial recruitment, screening, and enrollment
