About The Position

The Psychiatrist ensures the clinical excellence of the facilities continuum of care. The Psychiatrist promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health System.

Requirements

• Education: Medical degree from an accredited School of Medicine.
• Experience: Experience in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings at a management level; chemical dependency experience; advanced knowledge and skills of a positive nature are required; able to have active ability to use principles of education, management and counseling.
• Licensure/Certification: Current license to practice medicine in the state of Tennessee; Board Certified in Adult, Child, or Adolescent psychiatry required.
• Knowledge: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability maintain confidentiality in regards to all information; skilled in flexibility, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills; basic knowledge of or rudimentary skills in accounting preferred; stress management skills, crisis management skills; skills in analysis and evaluation; sound clinical judgment and decision-making; skills in clinical supervision and basis skills in personnel management concepts and methods; basic teaching or training skills preferred; able to understand and apply applicable standards and regulations (e.g. JCAHO, HCFA).
