About The Position

Haven Behavioral Hospital of West Chester provides a continuum of care that offers both inpatient and outpatients services. Our inpatient level of care is a 72-bed facility providing high-quality, specialty behavioral health services for individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues experiencing crisis and needing a safe place to stabilize. Position Summary: Initial psychiatric evaluations Work collaboratively with other disciplines to create individualized treatment plans Develop appropriated medication regiment based on the patient's history and symptoms Working closely with the patient and program staff to help enhance medication adherence through client staff education, one-to-one and/or group interventions with the patient and monitoring the medication procedures in place at the respective program Facilitating patient linkage to community-based Primary Care providers Communicating and working with other community-based physicians

Requirements

• License in the state of PA as a MD or DO, specializing in Psychiatry
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• At least two years’ experience working as an MD/DO with mental health adult population in an acute care setting preferred.
• Experience with the facility population strongly desired.
• Strong background in pharmacology with focus in psychopharmacology and drug interactions.
