About The Position

Cove Forge Behavioral Health, Williamsburg Pennsylvania's leading Addiction Treatment Center for adults, is a 338 -bed facility offering detox and residential rehabilitation services to the men and women of Williamsburg, Pennsylvania who are dealing with substance use disorder (SUD) and certain co-occurring disorders. We are currently seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time, Psychiatrist to support our patients receiving specialized substance use disorder treatment. Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication. Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility. Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures. Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations. Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders. Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications. Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner. Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
