STR Behavioral Health is seeking a psychiatrist to work at our STR Cedar Creek location in Warminster, PA and our STR Bucks location in Levittown, PA. /this provider will provide onsite coverage at both sites and work approximately 16 hours per week. This position also assesses medical and psychiatric issues and concerns then address or make appropriate referrals. This position also approves potential admissions based on medical and psychiatric requirements. This position is responsible for consulting with the treatment team on primary diagnosis and co-occurring issues. Relationships and Contacts Within the organization: Establish and maintain productive working relationships with peers and accounting team members throughout STR Behavioral Health and affiliated facilities. Outside the organization: Establish and maintain productive working relationships with third party vendors, as necessary. Position Responsibilities Essential Responsibilities Maintaining a safe and secure environment Help Clients by providing information, services, and assistance Routine checkups and psychiatric evaluations of clients Conducting follow up and evaluation of client physical and psychiatric conditions. Prescribe medications as necessary Document clinical, medical, and psychiatric treatments and recommendations Oversee and collaborate with Clinicians on client’s treatment plans Participate in Clinical Treatment team meetings 2x a month Pre-screen clients by reviewing psych and medical records for admission Order Lab work and UAs as needed. Minimum of two hours a week, depending on current census QualificationsMinimum Requirements Education and Experience Preferred for this position is to have completed at least 3 years of residency in psychiatry and a licensed practitioner in the State of Pennsylvania. Willingness to take calls during afterhours days and times. This position must have the ability to perform routine checkups and psychiatric evaluations of clients.
