About The Position

Sign On Bonus offered for external candidates Integrated Behavioral Health of Baton Rouge is seeking a Psychiatrist (MD or DO) to join our local outpatient center in the heart of Baton Rouge, LA. At Integrated Behavioral Health, we specialize in caring for children, adolescents, and adults coping with a wide array of psychological conditions by providing coordination of care with a multidisciplinary, integrated approach with expertise in psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, and the most up-to-date alternative treatments. As a Psychiatrist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and prescribing medications for behavioral health and psychological disorders. Requirements

  • Clear and active Physician License (MD or DO) in the state of Louisiana
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry
  • Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration
  • Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) License
  • Within commuting distance of Baton Rouge, LA

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of Behavioral Health experience in an outpatient clinical setting
  • Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
  • Expertise in treating children, adolescents, and families

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical services to patients in the form of psychosocial assessments to individuals, families and couples
  • Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication management
  • Collaborate as a member of multi-disciplinary integrated team for the development and delivery of treatment plans
  • Foster excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinate care with external providers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records (Athena) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirement
