About The Position

The Psychiatrist position provides quality psychiatric evaluation, treatment and medication management for individuals served by NRVCS. Provides consultation to staff about clinical and medical services issues. Provides presentations or training to agency and community as needed.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree and a license to practice medicine in Virginia.
• Completion of psychiatric residency.
• Eligibility or certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
• At least one year of experience providing psychiatric evaluation and treatment to adolescents and/or adults.
• Current DEA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality psychiatric evaluation and treatment for individuals served by NRVCS.
• Manage medication for patients.
• Consult with staff about clinical and medical services issues.
• Deliver presentations or training to agency and community as needed.
