About The Position

The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia is seeking our next Physician to join our team! This position offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of adults, children, and adolescents across behavioral health, substance use, and intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) programs. The selected candidate will report to the Chief Medical Officer.

Requirements

• M.D. OR D.O. degree
• Current Georgia Medical Doctor license(s) and board certification(s)
• Current DEA Registration
• Familiarity with telehealth and electronic medical record systems
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions to non-technical staff
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in behavioral health, substance use or working with individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management and follow-up care for patients
• Support individuals in crisis and facilitate hospitalization when necessary
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, offering consultation and guidance to staff
• Deliver high-quality care through both in-person and telehealth services
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold all regulatory standards
• All other duties as assigned
