About The Position

Alameda Health System (AHS) is seeking Psychiatrists for Per Diem, Varied shifts, in the Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) at the nationally recognized John George Psychiatric Hospital. John George is conveniently located in the San Francisco Bay Area, just south of Oakland. San Francisco is just a short drive away. The department's mission is to provide the best comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health services to adults with mental illness in Alameda County.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or osteopathic medicine with an MD or DO
• Prior community mental health services systems experience
• Valid CA License to practice Medicine
• Certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

• Current Psychiatry residents enrolled in ACCGME accredited residency program can apply for SAN positions

Benefits

• Base SAN/Per Diem Pay Rate: $251.43/hour
