About The Position

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a skilled, full-time Psychiatrist to join our collaborative Adult Intensive Services team. This dynamic group of clinicians and psychiatrists provides compassionate, comprehensive care to a diverse adult population, primarily individuals with significant and persistent mental illness. In this role, you will conduct medication evaluations, follow-up appointments, and provide mentorship to psychiatric fellows, residents, nurse practitioner students, medical students and nurses. Schedule. We offer flexible work arrangements, either a 5 x 8-hour workweek (Monday–Friday, 8am –5pm) or a 4 x 10-hour workweek. Our hybrid model allows for a mix of remote and in-office work, with an expectation of being in the office 3 days per week and working from home 1-2 days. This schedule may be adjusted based on client, training, and community needs. Salary for this role. Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Fewer than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on years of experience, licensure, and company equity. Paid bi-weekly.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine / Osteopathy.
Successful completion of an accredited Residency training program in Psychiatry (DO/MDs only).
Colorado Medical License with Valid Prescriptive Authority and in good standing
Valid and Current DEA
Required Vaccination and TB Test.

Responsibilities

Provide direct medical and psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of patients assigned, on a regular basis as within the scope of State care.
Assure clinicians in assigned services receive appropriate clinical supervision, as necessary.
Work with multidisciplinary staff to evaluate and triage according to level of acuity, as needed.
Share 24-hour on-call responsibilities with other psychiatrists for residential, outpatient and emergency care, as assigned.
Maintain availability by telephone for face-to-face evaluation of emergency patients, as appropriate.
Provide utilization review of all patients in continuing care to ensure appropriate medical/psychiatric services are received, as needed.
Attend team and other meetings, as necessary.
Provide consultation with other physicians and staff on patient care and difficult cases, as needed.
Attend continuing medical education conferences to maintain excellent standards of care, on a regular basis.
Understand and comply with organizational goals around quality, compliance, standards, and policies.
Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.
Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
Accurately and completely document patient care.
Monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client's care team.
