About The Position

Cedar Creek Hospital of Michigan is a beautiful and state of the art 72-bed facility. Cedar Creek provides evidence-based treatment to adolescents and adults struggling with mental health issues. Cedar Creek Hospital invests in our patients by offering an integrated medicine approach that provides the latest therapies including yoga, mindfulness, aromatherapy, music therapy and nutrition. As part of our success and innovation in the field we are seeking qualified applicants for a part time Behavioral/Psychiatric Health Technician position. Learn more about our hospital at Cedar Creek Hospital. Description The Unit Secretary performs and coordinates the clerical and public relations functions of the unit. This includes: Serving as unit receptionist, answering phone calls, directing visitors and professionals, as needed. Acts as a backup to Mental Health/Behavioral Technicians, making observation rounds and providing patient care, as needed. Monitors status of laboratory and other diagnostic tests ordered. Conducts chart audits daily to ensure presence of necessary documentation. Responsible for preparing charts for admissions. Responsible for distributing all discharge paperwork to community providers and referring agencies. Responsible for filing paperwork as needed. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working as a psychiatric technician strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive general clerical skills are required.
  • Valid Michigan Driver’s License.
