As part of our success and innovation in the field we are seeking qualified applicants for a part time Behavioral/Psychiatric Health Technician position. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working as a psychiatric technician strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive general clerical skills are required.
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Serving as unit receptionist, answering phone calls, directing visitors and professionals, as needed.
• Acts as a backup to Mental Health/Behavioral Technicians, making observation rounds and providing patient care, as needed.
• Monitors status of laboratory and other diagnostic tests ordered.
• Conducts chart audits daily to ensure presence of necessary documentation.
• Responsible for preparing charts for admissions.
• Responsible for distributing all discharge paperwork to community providers and referring agencies.
• Responsible for filing paperwork as needed.
