Psychiatric Technician - Higher Acuity Adolescent Boys Impatient Psychiatric Unit
About The Position
The 1 West Adolescent Boys Unit at Spring Harbor Hospital specializes in the care of higher acuity adolescent males generally between the ages of 12 to 18. Unit treatment and programming include comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, individual and family therapy, occupational therapy interventions, and utilization of positive behavioral incentives and support. Summary: The Psychiatric Technician role is responsible for maintaining a safe and therapeutic setting and implementing individualized treatment plans in cooperation with treatment team members by providing care and emotional support to patients and assisting with the collection and documentation of data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or Social Services preferred.
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
