About The Position

Psychiatric Technicians are encouraged to consider a career opportunity with Liberty Healthcare’s specialized mental health program in San Bernardino County. This program provides high quality psychiatric services to adults who are justice-involved and experiencing mental illness. Services are provided onsite at the West Valley Detention Center, a county jail located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. As a Psych Tech with Liberty, your responsibilities will include: Helping to ensure program clients receive high quality care Providing care to patients in-person within the jail Administering medications and drawing blood for lab tests Monitoring patient health status, response to medication, and treatment progress Providing basic counseling services and health and medication education Documenting pertinent patient health information Participating in clinical team meetings Collaborating with psychiatrists, mental health clinicians, nurses, and security staff The work schedule for this position consists of four 10-hour days, worked on weekdays during daytime hours.
