Psychiatric Technicians care for severely developmentally disabled patients, those undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and patients with illnesses causing disorientation or uncooperative behaviors. They work as part of a medical team under nurses' direction, collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
