About The Position

The Psychiatric Technician / Safety Attendant at Novant Health is responsible for assisting with the care of psychiatric patients across various age groups, from young adults to geriatrics, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role emphasizes the importance of teamwork, diversity, and inclusion in delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Completion of NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units required.
• CNAI certification in NC preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to perform all CPI physical holds.
• Ability to care for Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse age-specific patients within the facility.
