Psychiatric Technician Manager
About The Position
Assist Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and executing nursing services. Responsible for maintaining quality patient care standards, including: Training Communication Ensure documentation accuracy Oversee the operational expectations for the Psychiatric Technicians Create staff assignments; ensure tasks are completed Coordinate and manage Psychiatric Technician scheduling, including coverage adjustments as needed. Process and review Psychiatric Technician payroll for accuracy and compliance with organizational policies. Train and educate staff regarding current certification and development Share on-call responsibilities as part of the nursing administrative team, as assigned. Conduct annual performance reviews for Psychiatric Technicians and provide ongoing feedback and coaching. Collect nursing shift assignment sheets and room safety checks; audit for completion; report finding to DNS Perform observation, inventory, and vital sign audits to ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements Assist the Charge Nurse in daily activities to control the milieu
Requirements
- High school diploma
- One (1) year of prior experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting
- Successful completion of background check
- Tuberculosis screening

- Three (3) years of management experience with 1 of those years being in a hospital setting
