Position Details: The Psychiatric Technician II ensures the safety and well-being of residents in the Residential Program, with a focus on therapy and personal development.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Social Work/Criminal Justice/related human services field required.
Minimum one year experience in the mental health field required.
Knowledge and understanding of severe mental illness, recovery principles.
All Clearances required by OMHSAS.
Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

Lead psycho-educational groups to foster peer interaction, problem-solving, and treatment goal achievement.
Assist residents in building life skills for independent living.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow all reporting requirements.
Support residents with household tasks and teach essential daily living skills (e.g., hygiene, time management).
Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
Contribute to a therapeutic environment that encourages personal growth, with opportunities for advancement within the program.
