About The Position

The Psychiatric Provider is a key clinical role within ETS, responsible for delivering direct psychiatric care to a dedicated panel of participants. Additionally, this position provides expert consultation to ETS staff regarding the psychiatric needs of the participant population, ensuring a holistic and integrated approach to care.

Requirements

  • Active Washington State Psychiatric ARNP or Psychiatrist (MD/DO) license in good standing.
  • DEA registration with authority to prescribe controlled substances (Schedule II–V).
  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Minimum three years of clinical experience in addiction medicine, primary care, or behavioral health settings.
  • Advanced knowledge of OUD treatment modalities, including methadone and buprenorphine pharmacotherapy.
  • Commitment to racial and social justice and serving diverse communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational ability with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead with empathy, accountability, and composure under pressure.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, participants, and staff from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Have an understanding and alignment with the ETS Care Philosophy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and complete tasks timely and efficiently.

  • Computer literate, with basic knowledge of EHR systems, Microsoft Office Suite, as well as a high level of initiative in keeping current with technological change.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in community-based, low-barrier care is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) setting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Help ETS succeed in carrying out our mission through working together with other staff to transform systems of harm and inequity to create different approaches to improving community health and safety through addressing substance use and homelessness.
  • Assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine our interconnectedness within our community to overcome the aspects of our society and organizational culture shaped by white supremacy and settler colonialism.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for a small panel of participants.
  • Manage psychiatric medications, monitor treatment efficacy, and adjust care plans as needed to ensure optimal participant outcomes.
  • Coordinate with the Medical Director, VP of Clinic Services and interdisciplinary teams to align psychiatric services with ETS’s overall care philosophy.
  • Provide consultation and support to ETS staff on psychiatric issues, offering clinical expertise and guidance on complex cases.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to staff training initiatives related to mental health care.
  • Provide consultation to the Vice President of Clinic Services & the Director of Behavioral Health related to the development, implementation, and ongoing quality improvement of Mental Health services.
  • Provide direct participant care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for individuals with OUD and co-occurring conditions.
  • Deliver services through in-clinic, mobile medication units (MMUs), community-based partnerships and telehealth platforms.
  • Manage medical emergencies, ensuring rapid, appropriate interventions and coordination with emergency services.
  • Facilitate integrated care by coordinating with external medical providers for continuity of care.
  • Document all participant encounters and clinical decisions in the EHR accurately and timely.
