About The Position

The Psychiatric Nurse Specialist at Lakeview Center is responsible for providing high-quality, client-centered therapeutic services to individuals with mental health issues, substance abuse problems, or developmental disabilities. This role requires advanced nursing knowledge and the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in treatment planning and service provision. The position also involves mentoring other staff and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and organizational standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Valid Registered Nurse license in Florida.
• Certification in CPR.
• Ability to perform client/patient behavior management techniques (CPI).
• Experience in providing integrated mental health and substance abuse services.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and treatment planning for clients.
• Deliver direct service provision and person-centered services.
• Manage client risk and safety effectively.
• Serve as a consultant and mentor to other medical and non-medical staff.
• Document services provided in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Benefits

• Shift differential pay ($6.00 - $10.00) applicable to certain programs.
• Supplemental pay (up to 8% of base pay) for specific units.
