Join Us as a Nurse Practitioner! We are looking for Per Diem - Weekend Rounding and vacation coverage for our Admissions and Unit areas. Requirements: 2 weekends per quarter (a weekend is defined as both Saturday & Sunday 8:00am 5:00pm) 2 holiday per year (New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) assigned by Medical Director on a rotating schedule each year. Weekday coverage as needed with prior notice. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a member of the mental health care team that provides treatment to patients who need psychiatric care. Their responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, from patient assessment and diagnosis to the development and implementation of treatment plans. As a Nurse Practitioner: Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments Diagnose and treat mental health disorders Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals Document patient care in electronic medical records and ensure compliance with regulations and standards Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives The Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will have the following: Bachelor's degree required. Must be a graduate of a Nurse Practitioner Program. RN licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner within the state of MA required. Prior experience in a Psychiatry setting is preferred but not required. MCSR and DEA license required Advanced level knowledge and expertise in Medicine and advanced skills in the application of child/adolescent and/or adult medicine Knowledge of current ICD methodology Skills in interpreting and applying standards and regulations applicable to behavioral health inpatient services (e.g. JC, CMS, DMH, DPH) Time management, problem-solving, crisis management, and team-building capacity; flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stress.
