About The Position

Professional Care Medical Practices PC (“Professional Care”) is a private, physician founded, nationally accredited correctional health care practice. Professional Care provides comprehensive medical & mental health care services in the state of New York. Correctional health care is a unique, challenging, and exciting opportunity for today’s medical professional in that it provides the ability to truly utilize all of your learned medical skills and knowledge on a daily basis. It is the perfect hybrid of Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, and Addiction Medicine; providing care to an under-served, diverse, and truly appreciative patient population. We are currently looking for a Full Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team and provide on-site psychiatry services at the Onondaga County Correctional Facility in Jamesville, NY and Onondaga County Justice Center in Syracuse, NY. This is a 40 hour per week position. Weekly schedule is Monday - Friday, normal business hours shared between the two buildings.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Board Certified in Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York.
• Maintain current DEA license.
• Maintain active BLS (i.e. CPR) certification.
• Maintain current Driver’s License.
