About The Position

We are hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to support our Portland and Beaverton clinics as part of our Portland Metro team. This part-time role (.50–.75 FTE) offers schedule flexibility and the opportunity to work collaboratively across two locations within the metro area. This position is ideal for clinicians who enjoy variety, teamwork, and serving diverse urban and suburban communities. The PMHNP provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and limited psychotherapy services to children and adults in a community mental health setting. The role works closely with therapists, QMHPs, and medical providers to deliver coordinated, trauma-informed care across the Portland and Beaverton offices. Responsibilities include psychiatric assessments, medication management, treatment planning, and consultation to support high-quality clinical care.

Requirements

  • Licensed or license-eligible Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the State of Oregon
  • Prescriptive authority and active DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • Eligible for credentialing with Medicaid and other payers
  • Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple clinic locations
  • Commitment to respectful, inclusive, and client-centered care
  • Ability to pass required background checks and/or fingerprinting

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of PMHNP or psychiatric nursing experience (new graduates considered)
  • Experience in community mental health, integrated care, or urban clinical settings
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
  • Collaborate with therapists and QMHPs on treatment planning
  • Provide psychiatric consultation and clinical guidance as needed
  • Review and approve annual service plans for medical necessity
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers and community partners
  • Provide crisis intervention support when clinically indicated
  • Participate in shared, team-based call rotation
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support harm-reduction approaches related to substance use
