About The Position

Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Detroit Lakes, MN PRACTICE SPECIFICS Join the Detroit Lakes Behavioral Health Department, which includes 2 Psychiatrists, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 3 Psychologists, and 2 Psychotherapists. Collaborate with the growing Behavioral Health provider team of more than 25 providers across the West Market to provide quality, accessible care to patients Provide adult psychiatry services (age 18+) in an outpatient clinic setting (may see younger if trained to do so) Primary practice includes seeing patients in the clinic setting, or through virtual visits or tele-health As scheduled during business hours, provide in-person or tele-health consults to inpatients and emergency room patients Outreach to other Essentia Health clinics within daytime driving distance Appointment Template Options: New Patients 40-60 minutes. Medication Rechecks 20-30 minutes.
