We are seeking warm and razor-smart psychiatric nurse practitioners with entrepreneurial spirits to perform consultations in nursing homes in Georgia. Consultants are able to build an independent consulting practice while making a positive impact on the lives of older adults and their families. As psychiatric nurse practitioners, you will be provided full administrative support and clinical mentorship. And, as an independent consultant, you’ll be able to take on the work you want at competitive rates and provide services on a flexible schedule that works for you. Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • Active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License
  • ANNC Board Certification
  • Ability to travel in Georgia
  • In- Person
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Strong patient assessment skills
  • Strong, ambitious, patient-centric work ethic

Responsibilities

  • Work closely and collaboratively with nursing home staff, residents, and families.
  • Proactively follow up with patients and assess the efficacy of recommended interventions.
  • Provide education on best practices.
  • Round at assigned nursing homes and recommend psychiatric medication and treatment recommendations.
  • Integrate pharmacological and behavioral interventions, emphasizing non-pharmacological treatments whenever possible.
