The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed registered professional nurse with graduate preparation (Master's or Doctorate) from an accredited NP program. This role is responsible for conducting psychiatric patient appointments and performing routine psychiatric examinations to ensure patient mental health, including speaking with patients about healthy lifestyle choices, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders, coordinating with other healthcare professionals to maintain updated medical records, and treat the whole person. This role will provide general and preventative psychiatric care, conduct mental health check-ups, treat mental health illnesses, order lab tests, prescribe medication for children and adults, and remain available in-between patients and during admin time for occasional Integrated Behavioral Health questions and consults.
