Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America) Richmond University Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our OMH Youth ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) program . The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating youth with serious emotional and behavioral challenges, delivering care in the clinic, in the community, and at home.

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations in clinic, home, mobile van, and community settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including psychotherapy, medication management, and referrals as appropriate.
  • Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while managing side effects and interactions.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  • Provide education to youth and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, coping strategies, and wellness practices.
  • Advocate for youth and families within the healthcare system and community services.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to program development.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Current NYS Professional Registered Nurse license required.
  • NYS Nurse Practitioner Certification required.
  • MSN in Psychiatry & Mental Health required (minimum).
  • Experience in pediatric behavioral health with strong knowledge of psychiatric and co-occurring disorders required.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong therapeutic communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
