About The Position

Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services and programs addressing the social determinants of health such as housing and employment. Aspire has health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.
Position Summary
This position will provide behavioral health care services and medication management to adults in an outpatient setting, and perform as an independent and interdependent member of the medical services team. This position demands a high level of safety awareness and teaching skills. Knowledge and experience of DSM and crisis & emergency interventions are needed.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school
• Must be recognized as a Registered Nurse (RN) with Prescriptive Authority by the State of Indiana
• Must have a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate and State of Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
• Must have ANCC or other certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
• Drug screen, TB test and extensive background checks (including Criminal History, Sex Offender Registry Search, State Central Registry Check, Education Verification, and Professional References) are required of all Aspire employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health care services and medication management to adults in an outpatient setting
• Perform as an independent and interdependent member of the medical services team
• Perform physical assessments and medical evaluations
• Prescribe and/or monitor medications accroding to appropriate diagnoses, symptoms and guidelines
• Order appropriate laboratory tests, reviewing results and making necessary adjustments
• Administer injections
