As a recognized leader in developing and operating supportive housing and community-based programs, The Bridge has 70 years of experience helping New Yorkers with mental illness, including those affected by homelessness, incarceration, and institutionalization. Scope of Position: Seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to split time between two Safe Havens located in the Bronx and Harlem, NYC. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work within a 42-bed Safe Haven serving chronically homeless individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use conditions. Responsibilities include providing psychiatric and health assessments, conducting medication evaluations and monitoring, documenting services in medical records, and collaborating with the treatment team in the care of clients. One of the Safe Haven sites, Old Broadway, is located on 125th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. Safe Havens operate 24/7, 365 days a year. Flexibility is provided regarding days and times for scheduling. This is a full-time, in-person position. Salary and benefits are competitive. Malpractice insurance is covered by the agency. The Bridge is a HRSA National Health Service Corps loan repayment site.
