About The Position

Cherokee Health Systems is seeking a compassionate and service-oriented Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psycho-pharmacotherapy to clients in medication clinics. This full-time position involves working Monday to Friday, focusing on delivering holistic care that integrates mental and physical health for a diverse patient population.

Requirements

• Masters Degree in Nursing with a focus on psychiatric nursing.
• Registered Nurse with a minimum of two years of psychiatric clinical experience in an inpatient or outpatient facility or Mental Health Center.
• ANCC certification to prescribe medication.
• Licensed in the State of Tennessee as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• DEA license to prescribe medication.

Responsibilities

• Provide sound and ethical pharmacotherapy to clients.
• Support all clients throughout their treatment process.
• Monitor client progress regarding pharmacotherapy.
• Oversee necessary labs and laboratory findings to ensure holistic care.
• Implement psychopharmacologic approaches to address client issues.
• Utilize emotional supportive techniques during medical clinic appointments.
• Contribute information and opinions from a psychopharmacotherapy perspective during Treatment Team discussions.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Participate in Quality Improvement (QI), Quality Assurance (QA), and Continuous Quality Improvement Activities (CQI) as appropriate.
