Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)Canaan, CT About the Position: Make a meaningful impact—while maintaining work-life balance. Mountainside is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our residential treatment team, supporting individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This role offers a structured, team-based environment with the unique benefit of a 4-day workweek, allowing for greater flexibility and balance. Schedule: Full-Time: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, 4 days per week Option to structure schedule as a traditional 5-day workweek based on candidate preference
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing (PMHNP required)
- Active Connecticut APRN license
- DEA registration required
- Valid malpractice insurance policy required

Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
- Prescribe and monitor medications, including MAT (buprenorphine, naltrexone)
- Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and medical leadership
- Support clients through stabilization and recovery
- Provide crisis intervention and coordinate higher levels of care when needed
