About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) specializing in Interventional Psychiatry to join our compassionate healthcare team. This role is essential in delivering comprehensive mental health care, focusing on innovative treatment methodologies for patients struggling with treatment-resistant depression.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from an accredited program.
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • Must hold an active California Nurse Practitioner’s license.
  • DEA license required.
  • BLS/ACLS Certification.
  • Prior experience managing psychiatric patients, treatments, and medication.
  • Capable of functioning independently to provide psychiatric care in an outpatient setting.
  • Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning in mental health.
  • No pending actions by the board of nursing in California or any other state.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Knowledge of current mental health policies, practices, and regulations in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to professional development and continued education in psychiatric practices.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize patient care effectively, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to healthcare, emphasizing a holistic view of patient well-being.
  • Availability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate patient schedules.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in administering ketamine or Spravato treatments is highly desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses of patients dealing with behavioral health challenges.
  • Supervision of all elements and staff for Spravato (esketamine) treatments (training provided).
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with clinic policy, regulatory, and best practice standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with new treatments, therapies, and interventions in psychiatry.
  • Foster a positive therapeutic relationship with patients, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their treatment journey.
  • Adhere to all ethical and legal requirements in providing psychiatric care and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
