About The Position

Senior PsychCare (SPC) is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our collaborative, mission-driven mental health team in Austin, TX. This part-time position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, team-based environment with flexibility and clinical support from industry-recognized psychiatrists. You will have the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of nursing home and assisted living residents.

Requirements

• Licensed PMHNP or PA in the state of Texas
• Psychiatric/mental health experience required
• Experience with geriatric populations strongly preferred
• Spanish bilingual is a plus
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable traveling locally
• Adaptive, flexible, and committed to team-based care

Responsibilities

• Conduct cognitive and emotional assessments to set/manage treatment plans
• Manage psychotropic medication and gradual dose reductions
• Collaborate with nursing home staff and SPC’s behavioral health team
• Participate in treatment team meetings (in-person and virtual)
• Deliver care both in-person and via telehealth when appropriate
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in our EHR system
